
The Provost, Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa, Dr Lateef Olarewaju Raheem has commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for his support towards the growth of the College in short time.
He said the College has never had it so good under any previous administration in the State, stressing that Governor Adeleke has come with a breath of fresh air into the institution.
The Provost stated this when he featured as guest on a sensitization programme which promotes the activities of the present administration in Osun State, tagged ‘Imole Ayo’ on OSBC radio and Television channels in Osogbo.
The weekly simulcast programme is put in place by the office of the spokesperson to the Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed
Dr Olarewaju while responding to questions on the growth of the institution from a School of Health Technology to a College revealed that plans are at an advanced stage to upgrade the institution into a full fledged Polytechnic anytime soon.
He said the Governor within two years has taken steps to help the college compete with its peers all over the world and produce graduates that can be world beaters in the field of Health Technology.
While commending the Governor for providing an enabling environment for the College to grow, the Provost explained that the institution recently got approval from the National Board for Technical Education(NBTE) to run 7 new courses making a total number of 20 courses offered by the college.
Dr Olanrewaju Raheem assured that the College will not relent in its pursuit of academic excellence and the need to continue to produce the best in the field of Health Technology
