The Akesin of Ora Ìgbómìnà land, Oba Samuel Oladoye Idowu has commended the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, for the approval given to rehabilitate the already moribund Ora-Igbomina water works.
The monarch in a statement released by his media office, personally signed by him lauded the Governor and his cabinet members for putting the people first in their programmes.
Oba Samuel said, “No doubt, your decision to award N1,386,817,000.36 for the immediate rehabilitation of Ora-Igbomina Water Works demonstrates your unwavering dedication to ensuring access to portable and hygienic water for my subjects.
“As we all know water is life. We thank the Governor for remembering the people in the rural areas who hardly have access to portable and hygienic water. I pray that God will continue to strengthen him and members of his government.
“The people of Ora Ìgbómìnà appreciate our amiable Governor for remembering us. We have looked forward to this day and are glad it is our turn to enjoy the dividend of democracy and we are not taking it for granted.
The monarch assured the Governor of his continued support for his government through prayers and fatherly advice at all times.
He, however, described the people of the locality as loving and hospitable individuals, assuring the contractor and his team who will handle the rehabilitation of their welfare and safety. He noted, “Let me use this medium to assure the contractor and his team that my people are hospitable and peace-loving, I can assure you and your team our total cooperation. Whatever you need, feel free to come to my palace, I am here to attend to such request.” The monarch assures
