Gboleru Ruling House in Ikirun has called the attention of the Osun State Government to a sinister move being made by some disgruntled elements within the community to discredit them from presenting their candidates to the stool.
In a statement jointly signed by Lamidi Abefe and Alimi Olaleye, a copy which was obtained by our correspondent, revealed that these bad eggs have resulted into blackmailing Gboleru ruling house that they are parading three (3) Princes from the same mother.
“Firstly, we, from Gbolerun royal family wish to congratulate His Excellency, Govenor Ademola Adeleke, over his victory at the Supreme Court. This is a testimony to the fact that God has ordained you to be our Governor in Osun.”
“Also, on the issue of Obaship tussle which was capable of throwing the state into the state of anarchy, we appreciate Governor Adeleke for maintaining the needed peace in the state. Truly, you’re the people’s Governor.
“However, on the issue of Akirun stool, we are aware that some unscrupulous elements are trying to blackmail our family that we are parading three Princes from the same mother. Though, we are aware that Mr Governor has given his words that the Kingmakers should pick the rightful king amongst the contenders.
“During the illegal selection of Akirun which the Executive Order of Mr Governor had nullified, Oba Ara presented over twenty (20) Princes. By the time court settles everything, Gboleru is presenting less than ten (10) Princes. It is the function of the Kingmakers to select the most suitable amongst them. Why are some disgruntled elements within the community campaign against and blackmailing us? Monarchically, Gboleru ruling house is the next to produce new Akirun.
The family however calls on sons and daughters of Ikirun, both home and abroad, to keep praying and supporting the administration of Governor Adeleke who is working to move Osun State forward. The family noted
