Kamil Aransi, the Special Adviser on Special Needs to Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, will represent the governor at the Inter-Ministerial/Sub-National Disability Awareness Summit and the launch of the Beyond Disability Project.
The event, titled “Addressing Discrimination Against Persons With Disabilities in Nigeria Through a Multi-Faceted Approach,” is scheduled to take place at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja on July 22, 2024.
The event will gather stakeholders from various ministries, state representatives, and advocacy groups to discuss and formulate policies that will foster a more inclusive society, as it aims to address the pressing issues faced by persons with disabilities in Nigeria, focusing on reducing discrimination and promoting inclusivity through comprehensive strategies.
The Beyond Disability Project is expected to spearhead initiatives that will significantly improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities across the country.
Kamil Aransi, known for his dedication to advocating for the rights of individuals with special needs, will bring valuable insights and experiences from Osun State to the national stage.
His participation is evidence of Governor Adeleke’s commitment to advancing the welfare of all citizens, particularly those with disabilities.
