In recognition of his effort in making sure the Senior Citizens (Pensioners) in Osun State are being catered for through the prompt payment of their emoluments by the State Government, under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke, yesterday, the Permanent Secretary, Local Government Staff Pension Bureau, Mr Akibu Ibrahim was honoured by the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria (CPIN) with Award Fellowship of the Institute.
The dutiful Permanent Secretary received the Conferment Of Honourary Fellowship Member Of The Certified Pension Institute Of Nigeria in Lagos.
The event which took place at Radisson Blu Hotel, 38/40 Isaac John Street Ikeja GRA, Lagos 10027, has in attendance dignitaries that cut across human endeavours.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Mr Akibu appreciates the leadership of the institute for counting him worthy for the conferment as he promised to continue to discharge his duty with the fear of God.
He noted, “I want to personally appreciate Governor Adeleke for the opportunity to be among the Permanent Secretaries, I shall continue to put in my best in making sure that the agenda of Mr Governor is fully achieved.
Mr Akibu used the occasion to show appreciation to Governor Ademola Adeleke for his leadership prowess, noting that the Governor has not reneged on his promise to the Pensioners in the state.
Recall, few months ago, the Osun Pensioners in the State bestowed award of “Honest Bureaucrat” on Mr Ibrahim Akibu, described him as a man of many parts who doesn’t allow the euphoria of office to sway him away from doing what is right.
