As the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari winds down, the President has graciously approved the award of National Honours to Nigerians and friends of Nigeria in various categories.
This was contained in a circular published by the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs on Sunday.
A frontliner in the service to humanity, Olowu of Owu Kuta, Oba Abdulhameed Oyelude Makama Tegbosun III, makes the list of the Commander of the Order of Niger (CON).
The monarch, who is from Osun State, made number 35 on the list of the recipients of the award.
Buhari recently conferred national honours on the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, and the Vice-President-elect, Kashim Shettima.
Tinubu was conferred with the Grand Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (GCFR) while Shettima was honoured with the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON).
