The Olufon Royal Family in Orolu local government has called on the Osun State Government not to scheme Orolu out of the present political arrangement in the state, noting that the local government contributed in no small measure towards the emergence of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The Royal Family, in a release signed by the newly appointed Head of the family, Prince Sulaimon Akinyooye, said Olufon Royal Family will spare no efforts in ensuring that Orolu Kingdom is not left out in the scheme of development in Osun State.
Part on the statement reads, “The Olufon Royal Family has met and hereby assures the Orolu public that Olufon Royal Family will spare no efforts in ensuring that Orolu Kingdom is not left out in the scheme of development in Osun State, considering the fact that Orolu Local Government has been marginalized in terms of infrastructural provisions and appointments into key political positions in the last 12 years.
“Consequent upon the foregoing, we hereby
observe that none of Orolu indigenes was appointed among the recent numerous Permanent Secretaries that were appointed and sworn-in by His Excellency, Sen. Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke despite having many qualified people in the service of the State Government.
The Royal Family, however, appeal to the new administration of Senator Ademola Adeleke to consider appointment of an Orolu Local Government indigene as a Commissioner.
In another development, the Royal Family Congratulates His Royal Majesty, Oba Adesola Munirudeen; LAMINISA 1, The Timi of Edeland on his 15th anniversary on the throne of his forefathers.
They appeal to the Osun State Government to give adequate attention and logistics support to Orolu Divisional Police Headquarters strategically located at the boundary between Osun State and Oyo State as this will boost internal security of the state.
