On the 12th October, 2023, the Drummer of Peace bagged the “YOSA” Award in Oko, Anambra State.
The Yoruba Staff Association, YOSA, Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State bestowed on Prince Adewale Laoye the Cultural Ambassador Award.
The award was presented to him by the Chairperson of the day, CP Aderemi Adeoye, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State.
In his appreciation speech, Prince Laoye thanked the organizers for recognizing him for promoting cultural understanding and sharing the rich tapestry of Yoruba and Africa’s heritage. He added that he understands that the award isn’t just a feather in his cap but a reminder of the importance of cultural diversity in Nigeria and the global community at large.
“As a cultural ambassador, I am committed to continuing my mission of fostering connections, building peace and celebrating the beauty of our diverse world. Let’s remember that every culture has a unique story to tell, and it’s through these stories that we can build bridges of understanding and harmony, particularly in our country, Nigeria.”, he concluded.
