Eid-il-fitr: Adewale Egbedun felicitates with Muslim faithful

The honourable-elect for Odo-Otin State Constituency, Prince Adewale Egbedun has congratulated Muslims Ummah across the globe, particularly in his constituency, over the successful completion of the Ramadan period, urging them to sustain the culture of holiness and selfless giving that defines the fasting period.

Prince Egbedun who considers Ramadan as a rare opportunity for spiritual renewal for mankind, impressed on Muslim faithfuls to always reflect the message of love and self discipline that the period offered.

He reminded faithfuls of the benevolence of Almighty Allah enjoyed throughout the fasting period, which included cleansing from all sins, stressing the need to continue on the path of compassion and charity that the month of Ramadan symbolizes.

“Eid-il-fitr marks the end of fasting, but more, provides an opportunity to reflect on the incredible benefits of love and kindness for our own good and that of our society as a whole,” he noted in the message.

“As we merry and salivate the beauty of the moment, it is my humble appeal that faithfuls keep to the message of selflessness that the Holy month of Ramadan impresses.”

While wishing Muslim faithfuls a happy celebration, Prince Egbedun enjoined the people of the state, particularly from Odo-Otin State Constituency to sustain their support for their Governor Ademola Ademola administration as it strives to restore the state on the path of progress and development.

He assured constituents of his unwavering commitment to their cause, noting that he will put everything into ensuring that their interests is better protected when the 8th Assembly, of which he is a member-elect takes off.

“I am for your interest, and will continue to pursue objectives that will strengthen the desire to bring government closer to our people and ensure they have their fair share of governance,” he said.
