The Gbenga Hashim Foundation, established by former presidential candidate and Chieftain of ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Mr Gbenga Olawepo Hashim has donated sewing machines to women artisans trained in tailoring and fashion designing in Osogbo, the Osun state capital.
The Foundation, which recently empowered 200 SME’s in Nigeria’s federal capital, Abuja with N10million also extended its humanitarian gesture to Osun state in advancement of its economic intervention to empower more Nigerians to navigate through the ongoing economic reforms and challenges.
The beneficiaries were trained in sewing and tailoring by The Helper of The Helpless Foundation as part of its own contribution and mandate to improve women and girls empowerment.
Gbenga Hashim Foundation provided the sewing equipment to help the beneficiaries get started in business immediately.
The equipment was distributed to the beneficiaries during the week at an event at Jesus court building, No. 6/7, Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke freeway, Alekuwodo/Oke-Fia area, Osogbo, Osun state.
Mr Gbenga Olawepo Hashim is a global business man and prominent civil rights personality in Nigeria.
