Governor Adeleke’s success lies in his being underrated – Ajisafe.

The National Vice Chairman (South West) of the Peoples Democratic Party, Barrister Kamorudeen Ajisafe says, the victory of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the 2022 governorship election was attributable to the opposition’s underestimation of his capability.

Answering questions from journalists at the 36th edition of the Frontiers, Barrister Ajisafe remarked that Governor Adeleke has carried this natural trait to governance.

The PDP chieftain added that the success which has trailed the execution of Government infrastructural policy within one year, continues to send shock waves into the camps of the opposition, particularly those who have dubbed Governor Adeleke a dancing governor.

“The Governor loves to be underrated. A lot of unreasonable people saw him and those around him as jesters. But the massive constructions of roads, health facilities, schools and water projects across the state have proved them wrong..”

Barrister Kamorudeen Ajisafe also dismissed insinuations that the resignation of some members from the Peoples Democratic Party will impair the fortunes of the party in subsequent elections.

According to him, “The PDP leadership has been accomodating diverse interests to make the party strong, Except those who have been showing open disloyalty to the party, no one is ignored..”

He specifically refered to speculations of rifts within the party in Osun state and dismissed insinuations that party leaders are shunning Governor Adeleke.

The PDP National Vice Chairman disclosed that all leaders of the party except one are active in support for Governor Adeleke having been convinced of his sincerity and competence to deliver on the mandate of the party.

Barrister Ajisafe is of the opinion that Democracy requires those in Government to be proactive in thinking for the people and providing them dividends without having to ask for it.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Chairman, League of Veteran Journalists in Osun state, Prince Adepoju Atobatele had disclosed that the Frontliners is a flagship program held every month by the League to deepen discussions on Democracy through exchange of information between Government and the people for the development of the country.
