Against some insinuations that the newly installed Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye, Orumogege lll, has come to abolish some traditions and cultures, the monarch has declared that he represents all the religions.
The new monarch made this disclosure during a meeting with traditionalists in his palace in Ogbomoso, noting that he is a King for all.
“You all aware that I was a prominent Pastor before I became a King, people all over the world know me. They know me because of whatever I do, I always want the best.”
He added: “To clear your doubt, I am not here to abolish any tradition or culture. You all know my faith. Whatever you believe in, hold it and continue in that lane. See me as your King. Don’t listen to naysayers. The purpose I am here is to see to the development of our town and each time you pray, always make it a point of duty to pray for the progress, unity and development of our town.”
“I’m here to take Ogbomoso to enviable heights, heights that our forefathers envisaged that makes Ogbomoso stand out in Yoruba land such that Ogbomoso indigenes will be cherished anywhere they are seen.
“To those still aggrieved, let us join hands for the progress of Ogbomoso. This is God’s doing, let’s work together to achieve great strides for Ogbomoso. We cannot say we love this town and allow crisis. We will make Ogbomoso better.
