Ifedayo PDP elders pass vote of confidence on former council chairs, Atolagbe, Olajide

The elder’s caucus of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ifedayo local government has commended the Osun State Governor, Asiwaju Ademola Adeleke, for attending to people’s need.

The caucus in their meeting held yesterday which was chaired by Chief Olufemi Omotara praised the governor and members of his cabinet for not letting the party down, they however reinstated their earlier made commitment of supporting him for the second term in office.

Also, the meeting passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of the two immediate past chairmen of the local government, Hon. Kayode Atolagbe and Hon. Isiaka Olajide.

Members of the elder’s caucus took time to extol the performance of the caretaker committees while they were in office as they prayed that God will continue to be with them and all their desires shall come to pass.

“We, the elder’s caucus of the PDP in Ifedayo local government commneds the brilliant performance of our sons, Hon. Kayode Atolagbe and Hon. Isiaka Olajide, while they held sway in the councils.

“No doubt, the powers of youths cannot be underestimated, reason we shall continue to encourage our young ones to get involved in the mainstream politics, not as hooligans.

“Also, we want to sound a note of warning to whoever that may want to cause unnecessary crisis within the party in the local government, as the conscience of the party, we will not hesitate to forward names of such individuals to the leadership of the party in the state.

“We want to say unequivocally that we love the leadership style of Hon. Kayode Atolagbe and Hon. Isiaka Olajide led administrations in their respective councils and we shall continue to pray for them that God should be with them and their families.

Present at the meeting were, Chief Olufemi Omotara, Alhaji Yisa Adebayo, Hon. Kayode Atolagbe, Hon. Isiaka Olajide, Alhaji Ismaila Adeyemi, Hon . Lekan Osundina, Hon. Yemi Adeoti and Alhaji Tunji Awotayo.

Others are, Hon. Olu Oyewole, Alhaji Gani Lawal, Alhaja Taibat Abidoye, Hon. Kayode Ajiboye, Hon Ademola Omotara,Hon. (Mrs) Tunrayo Abatan, Mrs Adunni Awoniyi, Alhaji Fatai Ayorinde and Mr Ramon Adewumi
