Nigerians have been charged to live in harmony irrespective of Religious affiliations and differences.
The Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Rural Water and Enviromental Sanitation Agency RUWESA, Chief Lanre Odelade gave the charge in a goodwill message to muslims marking the Hijrah celebration.
The message made available to newsmen, dwelt on the need to turn the country’s pluralized ethnic background into advantages for peaceful co- existence and stability.
According to him, “the beauty of interfaith relationships is the strength it offers for harmony and shared love among peoples who find themselves as members of same family and communities.”
Odelade believes that Religions are avenues of maintaining unfettered communications with God,while respecting the rights of adherents to freedom of worship.
The Special Adviser express happiness at the peaceful co- existence of Indigenes and residents of Osun state,noting that the ability of Government to ensure the security of lives and properties is commendable.
Chief Odelade called on muslims to always live by the tenets of islam as enunciated by the holy prophet in their personal and public engagements.
He also admonished muslims to carry the moral and spiritual gains of Hijrah beyond the celebration.
