Information reaching this medium reveals that the Osun State Government has stopped the process of selecting the new Olufon of Ifon-Osun Kingdom.
It was revealed that Governor Ademola Adeleke has directed the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to put a stop to the process with immediate effect, noting that due process must be followed in the selection.
Sources within the government disclosed that Mr Governor was furious on how the process is being handled, he said anything that will not be acceptable by his people, he would not accept.
One of the sources said, “Mr Governor has directed both the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and the Special Adviser to make sure that they put a stop to the process. The Governor told them that whoever finds culpable of trying to sabotage the process will be thoroughly dealt with.
The Governor said he is a man of the people and cannot do anything that will not be proper and fair to them. “On this issue, the process must be transparent, open and fair to all parties concerned.”
Details shortly…
The Governor, His Excellency Omooba Ademola Adeleke as a Prince, I believe he will never be in support of any idea that could plug a town into jeopardy.
I wish all Olómoba to please settle the imbroglios among them, so that the town would have a King in place at this moment of need.
However, the next Ruling house should please submit the names of some contestants to the Kingmakers for oracle process.
