Kehinde Raji “Aaraj” is not a PDP member – Mohammed shokeye

A stalwart of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Osun state, Hon. Mohammed Shokeye (Showkey) has cleared air over the membership of Engr. Kehinde Raji (Aaraj), describing him as a supporter of “Imole” but not a member of Osun PDP.

Hon. Shokeye in an interview virtually noted that he’s aware that Aaraj worked for the emergence of Governor Ademola Adeleke, but that does not in anyway translate to being a member of the party.

Recall, few days ago, the Osogbo-born philanthropist cum businessman, Engr. Kehinde Raji (Aaraj) granted an interview where he said the administration of Governor Adeleke has been hijacked by a few charlatans who have nothing to offer the state. He also talked about the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, where he described him as a toothless dog.

Reacting, Hon. Shokeye said it is so unfortunate that the likes of Aaraj could have the effontry to tongue-lash a government of just seven (7) months. He said, a government who met virtually nothing on ground while coming onboard and has been able to embark on many projects, such government should be applauded.

He noted, “I am a PDP member since the day of our revered leader, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, and till today, I have never left the the party for a minute.

“It’s funny that Engr. Aaraj could go to the public and be denigrating a government that is just trying to rewrite the wrongs of the past administrations in the state. Though, it’s very obvious that Engr. Kehinde Raji only worked for the emergence of our amiable governor just for his personal gains. This is someone who worked for Aregbesola, he got some contracts and later to Oyetola. Unfortunately, he couldn’t get what he wanted from Oyetola, hence his support for Sen. Adeleke.

“To me, it is too early to start criticising a government that you claimed to have worked for. I think personal interest should not override public interest. But in the case of my brother, he is more concerned about his personal gains.

Speaking about his experience when he contested for Osogbo federal constituency ticket under the platform of the PDP, Hon. Shokeye said though he has a good agenda for the people of Osogbo federal constituency but when he couldn’t get the party’s ticket, instead for him to start fomenting trouble, he joined hand with the present occupier, Hon. Adewale “Gangaria” to make sure PDP wins.

“It’s only God who crowns one’s effort, when God said it is time for my brother, Hon. Adewale “Gangaria” he won convincingly and overwhelmingly. In 2019, despite his commitment, he didn’t win, but now that God said it is time, he won massively. I believe in God’s time, and I know that my time will surely come very soon.”

Hon. Shokeye however implore the people of the state to keep supporting the administration of Governor Adeleke who has come to give good leadership and he is committed to move state forward. He opined, “Who could ever thought that within one hundred days in office, Osun could witness a great turnaround? This was made possible through the grace of God and clear vision of Mr governor.”

“All I will tell the people of Osun is to keep supporting this government as we stand to gain from this administration.” Shokeye said.
