Hon. Kamil Aransi, the Special Adviser to Governor Ademola Adeleke on Special Needs, has commended the dedication and resilience of Osun workers towards the rebuilding and strengthening of the state economy.
Aransi also praised the efforts of Osun workers in driving the state to higher prosperity through discipline and meaningful contributions.
He described Workers’ Day as an important day for workers to agitate for better welfare conditions and reflect on ways to make the state better through impactful participation of all.
He disclosed that his principal, Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, has made life easier for civil servants in the state through regular payment of salaries and the introduction of the living wage to cushion effects of fuel subsidy removal, among others.
While describing Adeleke as a workers’ friendly governor, Aransi stated that the leader of the state is busy clearing backlogs of salaries and pensions he inherited from previous administrations and effected promotional packages for those who were promoted but denied privileges that come with their promotions.
He reiterated that Adeleke is extremely committed to the welfare of Osun workers, and he has continued to show this through many interventions, which include the enrolment of civil servants in the health insurance scheme among others.
‘I have no doubts that as the world celebrates Workers’ Day, workers in Osun State would be extremely proud of Governor Adeleke as a worthy employer who is not only concerned about results but the welfare of those who would bring results’, Aransi added.
