My Relationship With Osun Speaker Remains cordial – Ede South Chairman Explains

Ede South Local Government Chairman, Hon. Lukman Afolabi (Abere Soose) has dismissed reports of discord between him and the speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon Adewale Egbedun.

Just as he said, he remains on the same page with honorable members of the hallow chamber in supporting Governor Ademola Adeleke on his endless efforts to keep accelerating development of the state.

Afolabi, who doubles as Secretary of the state chapter for the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, in a statement released, on Thursday, lauded the supervisory role of the state assembly on local government administrations of the state.

He further explained that he is committed to the mandate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in ensuring that dividends of democracy get to citizens at the grassroots in his local government area.

Dismissing insinuation of sour relationship with the number one lawmaker in Osun, the council chairman said “My relationship with Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon. Adewale Egbedun remains firm.

“I am on the same page with all honourable members of the hallow chamber in supporting His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke on his giant stride to improve Osun human and capital development.

He, however, called on all party faithfuls of PDP in Osun and Ede South particularly to remain united saying “I enjoin all members of our great party not to allow enemies to create discord with our political office leaders and party executives at all levels.”
