The Olaojo Ruling House of Ifon-Osun Orolu Kingdom comprising the Morohunfolu and Odunolu Royal Families held a meeting in their house on Monday the 25th day of September 2023.
The family is concerned about the absence of a king in their ancient town and hereby express their profound appreciation to the Osun State government to effect the selection and installation of a new king.
“We also appreciate the decision of the government to adopt the use of the extant 1988 Chieftaincy declaration to select the oba.
“The family enjoins all interested parties to allow the Ifon Kingmakers to carry out the selection of the appropriate candidate to fill the vacant stool in accordance with their statutory responsibilities.
“We appeal to all parties to allow peace to reign and avoid inflammatory statement and any action that may affect the peace and stability of our ancestral home.
