Osun At 33: Road-Map To Success In Place – Odelade

Indigenes and residents of Osun state have causes to celebrate the thirty three years of her existence.

This is a highlight of a message by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Water Supply and Enviromental Sanitation Agency RUWESA, Chief Lanre Odelade to the government and people of the state.

The message described the thirty three years of Osun state existence as an impactful attainment of statehood.

Chief Odelade acknowledged the challenges and hiccups in the journey so far but expressed optimism on the ability of Government and people to achieve the dreams of founding fathers of the state.

Emphasasing this the RUWESA boss said,
“Osun state, under Governor Ademola Adeleke has kick-started the execution of a socio-economic blue print that has created a road- map for the attainment of even development goal of the founding fathers of the state”

The Special Adviser noted that the infrastructural development projects in all the three senatorial districts, the rejuvenation of the water sector, reactivation of the cooperative movement, opening up of rural road network, prompt response to the local government financial autonomy, renewed agricultural development policy, bringing the moribund health sector to live among others, are signposts of progress for a state created thirty three years ago.

Chief Odelade commended the Adeleke administration for courageously executing these laudable projects despite lean resources and within a short period of one year and nine months, adding that,
“the achievements recorded are indicative of prudence and commitment to priorities and shared goals germane to statehood, which influenced the creation of Osun state on the 27th of August 1991..”

Expressing joy on the euphoria of the state’s creation, the Governor’s Special Adviser charged the people to stand by the state government in its desire to make the state truely viable and repositioned to achieve the objectives of responding to the fundamental principles of statehood.
