As part of his administration’s commitment towards revamping education, making students to return to school, the Caretaker Chairman, Ayedaade South LCDA, Hon. Yakubu Adeyemo has presented admission letters to seventy (70) indigent students who have been awarded scholarships in the local government.

During the presentation of admission letters at Orile Owu, the council boss said “I firmly believed that education is the key that unlocks countless opportunities for our youth, and it is our duty to provide them with the tools they need to succeed.”
Hon. Adeyemo expressed appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, for granting him the privilege to serve his people and facilitate the scholarship program. He opined, “I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi, and our Chief of Staff, Alhaji Kazeem Akinleye, for their unwavering support, guidance, and encouragement that have brought us to this point.”
“To my father and mentor, Dr. Deji Adeleke, I say thank you for your guidance, encouragement and support always. Special gratitude is reserved for my mother, the Yeyeluwa of Ede land, Chief (Mrs.) Modupe Adeleke Sanni. Your unwavering support and heart of gold carved for our people are beacon of inspiration. I promise not to betray the trust bestowed on me.
“I extremely acknowledgment Senator Akogun Kamorudeen Adelere Oyewumi, the distinguished representative of Osun West Senatorial District, and Honorable Lanre Omoleye Oladebo, Member House of Representatives for Ayedaade Irewole and Isokan Federal Constituency, our royal fathers, especially Kabiyesi Olowu of Orile-Owu, Oba Dauda Ajolola Akinfala, and royal fathers, and their chiefs in Ayedaade South LCDA for their prayers, guidance, consistent support and encouragement.
“I extend my thanks to the State Working Executive of our Party, the People Democratic Party Osun State, led by Honorable Sunday Bisi, the local working executive of our party, led by Honorable Sanmi Adeyefa, and my colleague, Honorable Jimoh Oyewale Oyekanmi, Chairman of Ede North Local Government, for your constant unwavering support. On behalf of the Ayedaade South LCDA Caretaker Committee, I promise to deliver more for our people. A special mention goes to the Commissioner of Tourism, Honorable Bankole Abiodun Fafa, for your contributions to our community.
The council boss however recognises the proprietor of Grace College of Education Osogbo, Osun State, Pastor and Mrs. Adetunji, for providing the opportunity to his people. He said the school recognized the importance of his drive for educating the children in the community and key into it. “In fact, it is rare that a school of this caliber can deemed it fit to offer such opportunity at this crucial stage in our economy. Yet the school management are unwary to follow the dreams of my administration and supported me. We pledge to use this privilege wisely and not betray the trust placed in us.”
“My people, I must make it clear that education in this period is expensive and highly competitive. There are so many people working their ways to make sure their children get the right education. Some people are successful while others fail. But for us here in Ayedaade south LCDA, God has smiled on us and we have been given the opportunity to give this education to our own people through the provision of scholarship to seventy of our admission seeking students. Indeed, it is a good thing in the sight of God and we are all happy.
“My words of advice to the beneficiaries of this award are these. We have found you deserving this opportunity, seize it with both hands. You are the light of our community, and it is your duty to illuminate the path for others. Shun any act of violence and cultism. Excel in your studies and remember that you are our ambassadors in Ayedaade South and you are coming back to this community to give account. We have invested time and resources in you, so make it count and bear fruits of excellence.
“To the parents, I congratulate you and urge you not to leave your children alone in this journey. Keep supporting, guiding, and praying for them, for they are the future of Ayedaade South LCDA, and your investment in them will yield great returns.
Hon. Adeyemo assures them that this just the beginning. He said he has more in store for Ayedaade South LCDA, as he solicits for their continued support and prayers as they work together to build a good future for the community.
