Osun Lawmaker Donates Education Materials To 1000 Students

The lawmaker representing Ede North State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly who doubled as the Majority Leader, Hon. Adewunmi Kofoworola Babajide has donated education materials to students in his constituency.

The Majority Leader, during the presentation said if our society must be better, education must be taken seriously noting that the decadence in our education sector must be tackled head-on.

Part of his statement reads, “I stand before you with a heart full of gratitude and a sense of immense pride as we come together for this extraordinary occasion—the Award Ceremony and Presentation of Educational Materials to 1000 students in our beloved Ede North State Constituency. It is a momentous day that fills me with great joy and hope for the future of our community and our nation.

“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each one of you who has graced this occasion with your presence. Your attendance signifies your unwavering commitment to the cause of education and your belief in the boundless potential of these young minds. You are the pillars of support on which their dreams are built, and your presence here today reflects the importance you place on nurturing their aspirations.

“Today, we come together to celebrate the transformative power of education. Education is more than just a means to acquire knowledge; it is a beacon of hope, a catalyst for change, and a pathway to a brighter future. It is the universal language that transcends boundaries, empowers individuals, and uplifts communities.

Hon. Babajide noted that the program is not just a standalone initiative; it is a promise fulfilled. He said It is a testament to his commitment to the betterment of his constituency and alignment with the Five-Point Agenda of His Excellency Governor Ademola Adeleke, which places education at the forefront of development of our dear state.
He posited, “The journey to this moment has been one of unwavering determination, collective effort, and a shared vision. The Empowering to Excel Educational Programme was born out of a deep commitment to provide equal educational opportunities for all students in our constituency, regardless of their background or circumstances. It is also an avenue to support the parents in our constituency in these trying times in our nation.”

He, however, recognised and applauded he achievements of the outstanding students, he also takes a significant step toward fulfilling that vision. He said: “We are not merely handing them educational materials; we are entrusting them with the tools they need to shape their destinies. These materials are not just textbooks, notebooks, or stationery; they are the keys to knowledge, the instruments of inspiration, and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.”

The lawmaker however reaffirm his unwavering commitment to the cause of education to continue to invest in the future of his constituency, community, and the nation. “Together, we will empower more students to excel, and together, we will build a brighter tomorrow.” He said.
