The Osun State Council of the NLC is grateful to Almighty Allah for granting us the grace to witness the commencement of this holy month, a cornerstone of the Islamic faith. May this fasting and devotion period be marked by good health, spiritual fulfilment, and divine blessings.
Fasting is meant to inculcate righteousness and discipline. It is not staying hungry or thirsty, but an opportunity to strive for inner purification and self-accountability.
We encourage our Muslim workers to increase their love for humanity, acts of charity, kindness, generosity, and gratitude during this reverend period.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad used to spend generously on the poor and the needy during this period, we urged Muslims in the state and all over the world to copy the good example.
In this sacred month, we call on all believers to join hands in prayer and action for our beloved Osun State for continued peace, growth and development. Let us fervently seek Allah’s guidance and protection for our state, and let our words and deeds reflect our shared commitment to peace, unity, and progress.
We pray Allah grants all Muslims the strength to successfully complete the fasting period. The blessings of this holy month shines in our hearts and homes, and may we emerge from it as better individuals.
