The Osun Progressive Union (OPU) has apologised to the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke over the embarrassment that was meted on him at the Eid praying ground in Osogbo.
The union in a letter of apology addressed to the Governor said they regret what transpired at the central praying ground.
The union said the information at their disposal shows that Governor Ademola Adeleke had to leave the Eid praying ground in annoyance without observing the rakaat prayer. “This is highly embarrassing and uncalled for.”
The letter reads in part, “The Osogbo Progressive Union hereby write to apologize to our amiable Governor for the embarrassment and as well appreciate his maturity in handling the situation.”
Recall that the ex-senator from Osun central senatorial district, Basiru Ajibola, where he flagrantly sat where the State governor was marked to sit for the Eid prayer.
This has generated a lot of controversies where the former spokesperson was invited by the police to write statement regarding the incidence.
