Osun ranked first among participating states in Nigeria in RAAMP Project – PC, O”RAAMP

The Project Coordinator, Osun Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project, O”RAAMP, Engineer Rasak Okediya says, no fewer than two hundred and thirty six kilometres of rural roads are being constructed across the State under the supervision of the agency.

The media programme is focused on promoting the activities of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration.

The weekly programme, organized by the office of the spokesperson to the Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, showcases the outstanding achievements of the present administration in Osun State.

The rural roads projects according to the project co-ordinator are in three phases and are being executed simultaneously at the grassroots.

Engineer Okediya said the roads span through the three senatorial districts of the state with seventeen home based contracting firms handling the projects.

The O”RAAMP project co-ordinator eulogized Governor Ademola Adeleke for his commitment to developing the grassroots across Osun State noting that, the state government has been paying its counterpart funds to ensure timely execution of the various ongoing projects.

Engr Okediya remarks that, Governor Adeleke’s disposition to rural transformation of the state through prompt release of funds for projects’ execution, has won the confidence of the World Bank as a co-partner.
The immediate result of which has ranked Osun State first, among the nineteen states of the federation participating in the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project RAAMP.

He pointed out that when the ongoing rural roads are completed, farmers will heave a sigh of relief while transporting their farm produce to markets in urban centres.

 

The O”RAAMP project co-ordinator advised benefiting communities to maintain the roads in their areas and desist from all acts that can damage the multimillion naira projects being funded by the World Bank in conjunction with the Osun State government.
