
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State is ready to provide an enabling environment for investors who are willing to do their businesses in Osun state
Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo disclosed this on Imole Ayo, a sensitization programme promoting the activities of governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration on OSBC Radio and television channels
The weekly Yoruba simulcast programme is put in place by the office of the spokesperson to the governor Mallam Olawale Rasheed to showcase the achievements of governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration in Osun state
The commissioner added that some foreign and local investors have expressed their preparedness to work in partnership with the state government on key sectors of the economy.
According to him, the State government will provide necessary logistics to aid their operations by reviving the free trade zone and the Ido Osun airport project, abandoned by previous administration
He stressed that when completed, the airport project will be used to re-engineer the economy of Osun State as its operation will serve both passenger and cargo flights
Responding to a question on how some markets in the state will be put to proper use, the commissioner for Commerce and Industry explained that those already allocated shops in such markets but have deliberately locked the shops, have up to a month to open them for business purposes or risk the forfeiture of their shop allocation
Rev Jenyo appealed to traders who engage in selling and displaying of their wares by the roadside to desist as the risk involved in such practice is enormous
