Osun State PAC-SAI Retreat: It’s Time To Think Outside The Box, Speaker Egbedun Tells Attendees

The Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke says within the space of 365 days, his administration has empirically recorded massive and noteworthy infrastructural developments in all spheres.

Governor Ademola Adeleke made the declaration while speaking at a two day of the public accounts committee of Osun State House of Assembly and the supreme audit Osun State retreat.

The theme of the exercise is Maximizing Developmental Strides In Osun State Through Stakeholders’ Collaboration held in Osogbo, capital of the state.

The two days retreat organized by the Public Accounts committee and Supreme Audit Institution, Osun State, is focused on the promotion of transparent and accountability.

In address of welcome, the auditor general for local government, Mr Kolapo Emmanuel saluted the passion of governor Ademola Adeleke towards the promotion of transparent and openness government.

Earlier, the deputy chairman, house committee on public accounts, Hon. Adekunle Oladimeji had hinted the gathering that Assembly under the leadership of the state parliament speaker, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun would never tarry to channel its oversight function energy to monitor how public funds are spent without undermining the constitutional rights of the executive arm and tampering the implementation of people’s oriented Programmes and policies either.

In his address, before declaring open the retreat exercise, the speaker, Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Adewale Egbedun urged the participants to leverage on diverse strength to support what he described as significant progress Gov. Ademola Adeleke administration have been able to record.

Hon. Egbedun equally implored the attendees to as a matter of raising the bar productivity, there is immediate need to think out of the box in moving the state forward.

In his good will message, the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Dosu Babatunde said Governor Ademola Adeleke administration places premium on transparent and accountability, a feat which he said gave birth to the massive infrastructural development Osun is witnessing.

Speaking to the theme, Maximizing Developmental Strides In Osun State Through Stakeholders’ Collaboration is the Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke explained that his administration respect and would to continue to accord the state house of assembly the honour deserved no matter what.

The Governor, who was represented by his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi informed the public that despite the infrastructural deficits the administration of governor Ademola Adeleke met when he assumed office, successes recorded within the one year in office has been quite impactful and noteworthy.

Highlight of the exercise were the presentation of papers at the technical session handled by the resources person Mr. Benjamin Ekeyi and clerk of Osun State House of Assembly Mr. Akinwale Amusan.
