A PDP Female Youth based group, Osun Female Youth PCC, on Wednesday, paid a courtesy visit to the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, to congratulate him over the Supreme Court Judgement and to commend his giant strides in restructuring the State.
Led by its South West and Osun State Coordinators, Hon. (Mrs) Bolanle Sarumi (BASA); Mrs Mercy Ayodele, the group said they are happy with the performance of Governor Adeleke in the last five months in office.
In her address, Mrs Bolanle Sarumi said the group purposely visited the Governor to felicitate with him for his outstanding performance in the State saying, he has changed the fortune of Osun for better as residents of the State are now happy to have him as the Governor.
“Your Excellency sir, what you have done in the last five (5) months shocked your adversaries. They thought you won’t be able to achieve anything, but to their surprise, what they couldn’t achieve in their four years, you have surpassed it. We are proud of you sir.
Speaking with our correspondent, Osun State Coordinator, Mrs Mercy Ayodele, appreciated members of the group who stood tall to work for the party during the elections, she assured them that none will be left out in the scheme of things
Her words, “I want to appreciate our members across the state for their resilience and loyalty to the party, they have done exceedingly well before, during and after the elections. Their labour will never go unrewarded.
“To our amiable Father, Leader and the people’s Governor, Sen. Ademola Adeleke, we want to commend him for his unprecedented achievements he has recorded in the last five months.
“What is happening in Osun today is unprecedented. Within 100 days in office, every nook and cranny have enjoyed the goodies of Mr Governor. Meanwhile, this is just the beginning, more are still coming for the people of Osun.
In his response, Governor Ademola Adeleke appreciated the group for identifying with him on his victory.
He explained that his prudency in managing the finance of the State associated with his achievements within the few months he has spent in office.
Governor Adeleke added that despite the challenges in Court, he is determined to serve the people of osun, advancing that he blocked all the leackages and thereby embarked on infrastructural development of the State starting from contruction of the long abandoned Osogbo/ Ikirun/ Ila-Odo road which is almost completed, prompt payment of workers salaries and pensions, free medical care, provision of pipe born water and lots more.
The State helsman Promised not to disappoint the association and the people of Osun at large, saying the light which has started in Osun will spread round the Southwest and beyond.
He therefore accepted and endorsed the association, promising to always support them for the betterment of the Country.
