Prince Adewale Laoye Congratulates Olaniyi Oyatoye on Installation as New Oloro of Oro Kingdom

Prince Adewale Laoye, Founder and CEO of Aafin Ilu, has extended warm congratulations to His Royal Highness, Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye, fondly known as ‘Baba Asa,’ on his installation as the new Oloro of Oro Kingdom. In a ceremony held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State presented the staff of office to Oba Oyatoye, officially appointing him as a Second Class monarch of the Irepodun Local Government Area.

The appointment marks the beginning of what Prince Laoye and many anticipate to be a transformative era for the Oro Kingdom. Oba Oyatoye’s leadership is expected to drive new growth and development in the region, and his background as a cultural advocate uniquely positions him to strengthen the Yoruba heritage within the community.

Prince Laoye, who has collaborated extensively with Oba Oyatoye through Aafin Ilu and Asa Day Worldwide Inc., Canada, expressed excitement about the monarch’s new role. Over the years, their partnership has focused on promoting Yoruba culture globally, with efforts to preserve traditional drum and art forms, and Prince Laoye emphasized that the King’s deep cultural knowledge will enhance Oro Kingdom’s cultural and developmental landscape.

“Oba Oyatoye’s reign marks a significant step forward for the kingdom and the Africa community at large,” Prince Laoye remarked. “His commitment to Yoruba traditions aligns with our vision at Aafin Ilu, and I am confident that he will bring prosperity, outstanding development and cultural pride to Oro.”

Prince Laoye concluded his message with best wishes for Oba Oyatoye, hoping for many fruitful years on the throne that would bring meaningful progress to Oro Kingdom and its people.
