Technology and Innovation, sacrosanct for Job Creation, Economic Growth in Osun – Maruf Ayofe

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke will, not shy away from demonstrating his unwavering commitment to engender a technology driven atmosphere in Osun state in line with one of his 5 point development agenda for the State.

Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, Hon. Olatunji Maruf Ayofe, said this while kick starting a 3 day training workshop organised for Senior Secondary School Students across the State by the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology .

The programme was organised to mark the maiden edition of 2023 Digital Nigeria Day.

Hon. Ayofe while declaring the workshop open, emphasised the importance of investing in the education and skills development of youths, saying that it would lead to a brighter tomorrow .

He urged participants to make the best of the opportunity of the training so as
to transform their lives and, in turn, the future of the State.

In the same vein,the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Olufunke Bukola Jolayemi earlier in her welcome address, appreciated the support of Senator Ademola Adeleke at all times and for having the best of intentions for the youths in the State in ensuring that they are versed in the area innovation,science and technology.

The chairman, Forum of Digital Innovators and Technology Entrepreneurs (FODITE), Mr. Segun Solomon in his remarks underscored the importance of digital technology in job creation and economic growth.

The resource person from Media and Digital Skills Centre, Engr. Ajibola Abiola promised to impart and equip the students with the necessary skills and knowledge on new trends in technology just as he noted that the 3 -day training workshop would equip the students with the necessary skills and knowledge to create a technology-driven Osun state.
