What we’re witnessing in health sector is unprecedented – OHIS boss, Akindele lauds Gov Adeleke

The Executive Secretary, Osun Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Rasaq Akindele has lauded Governor Ademola Adeleke for providing the needed leadership by taking seriously the issue of healthcare in the State.

Dr. Akindele stated that the level of commitment being witnessed at the Osun Health Insurance Agency under the current administration is unprecedented since the creation of the agency.

He disclosed this during the commissioning of new medical equipments procured by the agency for the health care providers, who are partnering with the agency in providing adequate healthcare to the people of Osun.

He noted that a drastic improvement in the numbers of enrollees from the informal sector, and the enrollment of pensioners who will not pay anything after getting the required treatments deserves commendation.

Dr. Akindele said the event is an initiative of the Osun Health Insurance Agency, organized to assist Health Care Providers to purchase medical machines and other important equipments and present it to them on credit, while payment back to the agency will be deducted from their monthly capitation in installment.

The medical equipments ranging from the Dental Ultrasonic Machine for S&P, Haematocrit Centrifuge, Delivery Couch, Operating Couch, Spectrophotometer, Phototherapy for Neonate, Suctioning machine among others.

The programme is part of the plans of the Executive Secretary, Dr. Rasaq Akindele and the management of the Agency to ensure that Health Care Providers deliver qualitative care to the people of the State.

He maintained that the distribution of the health equipment signifies the commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery and a dedication to improving the overall well-being of our communities.

The beneficiaries include the general hospital, Ilesa, General Hospital, Ejigbo, State hospital, Iwo, among others.
